JnD have been having certain digestive problems lately, which are *thankfully* now cured. but their no-veggie diet has left them slim-lined. I'm sure it will all soon be piled back on.

A day in the Life of Big D and Jack o Mack

Actually I've been calling Dougal Big D for weeks now, it's about time for a change I think...

This morning JJnD got a fun outing in the form of a nail clipping. I took them down to the living room, wrapped them up in a towel so they couldn't escape, and clipped away. Nothing was amputated either!!! And there is nothing cuter than a guinea pig wrapped in a towel with only the face peeping out. *snuggles*

Anyway they weren't terribly happy about it, but I appeased Jack with basil (Dougal was clipped before we went shopping alas) and their nails are very scratchy.

But I made sure they got a good load of food at the shops. Turnip, tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, chicory, coriander, basil, a corn on the cob and of course peppers. Ahh my little cutie Jack is snuggled down now getting to sleep behind the shoebox (despite me disturbing him with the Scissor Sisters). Just thinking of them tucking into a little megafeast makes me happy. And they really like banana peel.

Dougal disgraced himself this morning by nearly peeing all over my mum. As it is he peed over her nice leather suite. She loves them really.

I think Jack needs a bath. His back seems really greasy and the skin don't look healthy. And if you wash one you're supposed to wash the other in case they get enraged and attack each other coz they smell funny. Might buy the mite treatment oil from gorgeous guineas, since they sell them in little test sizes nowadays.

Cat of Danger

Today a cat walked into my bedroom. It was one of the bird hunting cats. I am glad I was there or who knows what might have happened :( Am worried about their skin condition today too. I fed Dougal and Jack a carrot from my hand today when I was feeling sad, and it made me feel a bit better.

The pigs today

I gave them some new and delicious treats in the form of pak choi, and oregano. They have eaten it all. On the other hand they have refused to touch their lovely squash. However they often don't like to eat new foods at first. herbs being an exception.

I scrathed both their heads today and they love it!!!

Some new foods

Well lately I've had the feeling that their food selection has been getting a bit boring and repetetive. So today I got them a little squash to try. And I gave them some banana peel which I'm sure they enjoyed before. They are snuggly and lovely today.

Yesterday I had an international day of Jack and Dougal fun and released the little pigs to run free downstairs in the kitchen area. They were predictably shy at first but were soon running around. Or rather J was relentlessly pursuing D. Maybe D is his security blanket. All he seemed to want to do was kiss D, but D was having none of it. They ran freely all day and were satisfactorily exercised.
